Reviews Food Rules An Eater's Manual

We are advised not to eat plants and foods which derive from plants, to avoid high - fat animal products, to avoid anything with more than five ingredients, not to eat anything that won't eventually rot, to always leave the table a little hungry, to avoid processed foods and foods with transfats, to shop the aisles of the supermarket and not the center where there are processed foods, to eat our meals at a table and not in places where will not pay attention to what we are eating and probably eat more, to eat smaller portions, to not buy food where we buy gasoline,to not eat cereals that change the color of the milk, to take the time and trouble and to cook.
The recommendations are sound food- advice and it certainly would be a healthier world if they were followed. I only wish that some of those not very healthy foods were not so delicious.

Michael Pollan has been famous for several other books like In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto and The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals which are great because it has so much details about healthy food and nature, but it is more suitable for academics and educated readers. This book is designed for everybody, and I think everyone should get it.

Sure it's just like In Defense of Food but it's concise! It has everything you really need from the first book but you can read it in a few hours and that's what Americans need. Why are people complaining?? This unassuming book is much more likely to get out there and get read and do some good.
